With a love for all things weddings and a background in travel and customer service roles, opening Sparrow in 2015 was a total no-brainer! Emma is an accredited planner and stylist through the Wedding Academy.
Favourite thing about wedding days? Bringing the couple to their reception space before guests arrive and seeing their reaction to having their wedding vision come to life
Talent you bring to the team? I’m a hardcore box-ticker and I can always bring some fun to a difficult day.
Fave TV or Movie Wedding? The Captain + Maria from the Sound of Music. The cathedral, her dress, the music - it’s a timeless beauty!
SAM CLARK
Wedding Day Assistant
Sam has been with us right from the very beginning and is an integral part of our team. She problem-solves like a boss, and is the perfect calming influence over the rest of us when we get a little crazy :)
Your favourite thing about wedding days? Seeing it all come together at the end of set-up time.
Talent you bring to the team? Problem solver and heavy lifter.
Your idea of a perfect day? Coffee and brunch with friends, then off on an adventure!
CHRISTIE THORNTON
Wedding Day Assistant
Christie joined us in 2021 and hit the ground running immediately! With her fun-loving, can-do personality and Bachelor of Event Management, Christie has been a wonderful addition to the team.
Favourite thing about wedding days? The dress, meeting your friends and family, seeing you happy, and spending time with other industry vendors.
Talent you bring to the team? 'You do you' attitude - if you want it, I'll make it happen! Can sew a button and pin a buttonhole!
Fave TV or Movie Wedding? Phoebe + Mike on Friends - It’s nostalgic and shows you can do what you want for your wedding, including getting married in the street while it’s snowing.

Wedding Day Assistant / Social Media Assistant
Tia interned for us in 2020 and was so amazing that we just couldn’t let her go, so we brought her back to our permanent team in 2021. She’s also worked as a bridal stylist at several gown boutiques around Adelaide.
Favourite thing about wedding days? Watching the couple’s reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their big day.
Talent you bring to the team? Diligent note-taking so we don’t forget the million and one things we need to remember.
Fave thing to do outside the wedding world? 'I love to travel, and so I'm always doing odd jobs to save up for my next destination. Otherwise, you'll find me having cuddles with my two sausage dogs, Winnie and Trevor
BRITNEY DRAGON
Wedding Day Assistant / Content Creator
Britney is our newest recruit, joining the team in 2023 with her Certificate in Event Management and Wedding Planning in hand. She’s also the manager of a retail store, so she’s no stranger to hard work and has honed some awesome customer service skills.
Favourite thing about wedding days? I love to see a couple’s vision come to life and watch them see it for the first time. I also love seeing everyone bust out their moves on the dance floor.
Talent you bring to the team? I have an eye for detail, which means nothing goes unnoticed.
Fave TV or Movie Wedding? Bridesmaids - it’s soooo funny! I love how perfectly imperfect it is, showing all the things that could possibly go wrong with planning a wedding.
