With a love for all things weddings and a background in travel and customer service roles, opening Sparrow in 2015 was a total no-brainer! Emma is also an accredited planner and stylist through the Wedding Academy.
Favourite thing about wedding days? Bringing the couple to their reception space before guests arrive and seeing their reaction to having their wedding vision come to life
Talent you bring to the team? I’m a hardcore box-ticker and I can always bring some fun to a difficult day.
Your idea of a perfect day? An autumn drive into the Adelaide Hills to discover markets, coffee, and desserts with the fam.
ChristiE THORNTON
Associate Wedding Planner
Christie joined us in 2021, and immediately hit the ground running! With her fun-loving, can-do personality (as well as her Bachelor of Event Management from UniSA) Christie has been a wonderful addition to the team.
Favourite thing about wedding days? The dress 🤗, meeting your friends and family, seeing you happy, and spending time with other vendors in the industry.
Talent you bring to the team? 'You do you' attitude, if you want it, I'll make it happen! Can sew a button and pin a buttonhole!
Your idea of a perfect day? I’d get a sleep-in, cuddles with my cat, then go to a market to purchase local produce and make a delish lunch, followed by a movie and relaxing evening at home! #homebodywhennotatweddings
AMY STANKOVIC
Wedding Day Assistant
Amy joined us in 2019 and has a passion for anything where she can flex her creativity. She particularly loves flowers and honing her skills in her job at a florist.
Favourite thing about wedding days? I love seeing all the smiles and laughter around the room at the end of the night when the dance floor is alive. I also can’t forget to mention the wedding vows, they never fail to make me tear up.
Talent you bring to the team? Ensuring all the decor is out and looking fabulous. I love to arrange everything to make sure it’s all in place and perfect, ready for when guests arrive.
Fave thing to do outside the wedding world? Shop for flowers to plant in my garden and make floral arrangements. I also love painting and doing small crafty projects.
SAM CLARK
Wedding Day Assistant
Sam has been with us right from the very beginning and is an integral part of our team. She problem-solves like a boss, and is the perfect calming influence over a sometimes loopy Emma :)
Your favourite thing about wedding days? Seeing it all come together at the end of set-up time.
Talent you bring to the team? Problem solver and heavy lifter.
Your idea of a perfect day? Coffee and brunch with friends, then off on an adventure!
TIA RODGER
Wedding Day Assistant
Tia interned for us in 2020 and was so amazing that we just couldn’t let her go, so we brought her back to our permanent team in 2021. She’s also worked as a Bridal Stylist at several gown boutiques around Adelaide.
Favourite thing about wedding days? Watching the couple’s reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their big day.
Talent you bring to the team? Diligent note-taking so we don’t forget the million and one things we can’t forget.
Fave thing to do? Perform in musical theatre productions, cuddle with my sausage dog Winnie, and go for hikes.
BRITNEY DRAGON
Wedding Day Assistant
Britney is our newest recruit, joining the team in 2023 with her Certificate in Event Management and Wedding Planning in hand. She’s also the manager of a retail store so she’s no stranger to hard work and has honed some awesome customer service skills.
Favourite thing about wedding days? I love to see a couple’s vision come to life and watching them see it for the first time. I also love seeing everyone bust out their moves on the dance floor.
Talent you bring to the team? I have an eye for detail which means nothing goes unnoticed.
Your idea of a perfect day? I love going to the beach with my partner and our german shepherd Zeus. I also love going on adventures and travelling the world!
