Amanda + Nick met the same way a lot of couples do these days - online! They'd been together for three years when they got engaged on a weekend getaway at Second Valley, a place that Amanda loves because she grew up spending family holidays there. In Nick’s words - 'I know this place is special for you, and now I want to make it special for us'.
Amanda + Nick like to go camping and dirt bike riding together, and what struck me most about these two as I got to know them, is that they’re truly best friends, and whenever they’re together there’s always a ton of fun to be had! Case in point - when I asked about their priorities for their wedding the answer was ‘a gin bar, and lots of dance floor action’ - now that’s a brief I’m always happy to fill!
They were also very focussed on ensuring their fur-kids Lana and Jarvis played a big role as ring-bearers, so we brought in I Do Paws who were able to keep the doggos feeling safe and happy, til it was time for them to gallop down the aisle towards Mum and Dad!
Amanda + Nick put together a strong team of vendors including choosing One Paddock Currency Creek for their venue with it’s modern rustic style, Will & Co Photography, and Heidelberg Cakes.
Extra special features of the day included pre-dinner drinks served from Hamish the Horse Float on the winery lawns, Amanda’s mum and Nick’s dad serving as witnesses at the ceremony, and a very special pre-wedding snack surprise delivered to Nick while he was getting ready - in his vows Nick promised to love Amanda as much as he loves KFC, maybe even more, haha!
