In the wedding industry, our year doesn’t run January to December. It runs July to June, thanks to our mid-year winter break when weddings slow down. It’s the perfect moment to reflect, celebrate, and share some of the incredible love stories we’ve been part of.
And what a year it’s been! Sparrow Weddings & Events: 2024–25 in Review is a collection of our favourite moments - from dreamy garden ceremonies to stylish city soirées, each wedding bringing its own magic, laughter, and joy. We’ve loved every minute, and now we’re taking you behind the scenes of the season that was.
Spring: Fresh Blooms & Fresh Beginnings
Spring kicked off our wedding year in the most glorious way: sunshine, floral abundance, and couples embracing every romantic detail. Think pastel-hued florals casaing down long banquet tables, champagne towers in leafy gardens, and first dances under fairy-lit canopies.
Summer: Champagne, Confetti, and a Little CITY Magic
Summer brought warm nights and a few of those perfect sea breezes every couple dreams of. We had everything from sophisticated black-tie soirées in the city to relaxed barefoot vows at the vineyard. Summer also meant more cocktails in hand with Aperol spritzes and spicy mojitos making frequent appearances on guest tables.
Autumn: Golden Light and Deep, Moody Tones
Autumn weddings were all about cosy romance: rich colour palettes, candlelight, and venues that glowed as the sun dipped early. We styled tables with velvet napkins, coloured glassware, and blooms in burgundy, amber, and blush. Guests gathered around fire pits post-reception, and received mulled wine on arrival.
Winter: The Season of Style & Intimacy
Even with fewer weddings in the cooler months, winter was far from sleepy. We loved seeing couples lean into luxe fabrics, dramatic lighting, and intimate guest lists. Picture faux fur wraps, candlelit ceremonies, and then, a little theme that was a step out of the box called ‘Rainbow Fantasy’. Winter also gave us a moment to pause, plan, and dream up the year ahead.
Looking Ahead
If the year in review has taught us anything, it’s that no two weddings are ever the same - and that’s exactly how we love it. We can’t wait to create more magic in the year to come.
